A scary morning along the state road 372 “Telesina”, at kilometer 51, near the Paupisi exit. A violent collision between an articulated lorry and an extra-urban bus of the Air Campania company caused the injury of two people and the blocking of traffic in the area.
The accident involved a truck and a bus headed to Benevento, coming from Cusano Mutri. The firefighters of the Benevento Provincial Command and the Vitulano detachment intervened on site, working to free the driver of the truck who remained trapped in the cabin, which was seriously damaged in the impact. The driver and another passenger of the truck were immediately rescued and transported to the hospital. According to initial information, the passengers of the bus were unharmed.
Traffic on the “Telesina” was at a standstill for several hours, causing significant inconvenience to motorists. Anas technicians also intervened on site, engaged in managing traffic and removing the vehicles involved. The rescue operations, particularly complex, required the use of ambulances and special equipment from the fire brigade to extract the driver from the truck.
