Yesterday morning, the State Police arrested a 36-year-old Senegalese man with a criminal record, charged with assault and resisting a public officer. The man was also charged with receiving stolen goods and introducing and selling counterfeit products. Officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid, during a routine patrol, noticed the 36-year-old. Upon sighting the officers, he attempted to flee on foot along Via Tappia, towards Corso Arnaldo Lucci.
After a chase, the officers managed to catch up with him and stop him in Via Cosenza, where a brief struggle ensued.

The 36-year-old, already known to law enforcement, was arrested and taken to the police station, where he was handed over to judicial authorities for further investigation. The seized goods were eventually returned to the relevant authorities for a full assessment of the damage.
