The smart mobility project that aims to make the city of Caserta safer and better monitored continues at a fast pace. By the first week of December, the installation of 22 new cameras will begin in strategic points of the city territory, as part of an integrated system of video surveillance and intelligent mobility.
The works include an initial phase of installing the supports and solar panels needed to power the systems. Subsequently, in mid-December, the cameras will be mounted and connected to the central control system. After the planned tests and trials, the system will be fully operational by mid-January.
The new cameras will be positioned at key points in the city, including the entrances and exits of Viale Lincoln, Viale Carlo III di Borbone, Viale Douhet, Via Cappuccini, Viale dei Bersaglieri, Via De Falco, Via Marchesiello, Via Ruta, Via Madre Teresa di Calcutta, and near Via Amendola (at the intersection with Corso Giannone).

An ambitious urban security project
“With these additional installations – declared the mayor Carlo Marino – we continue to implement our video surveillance program, which includes a total of over 200 cameras throughout the city. This is a strategic plan that aims to monitor the territory, combat criminal phenomena and guarantee safety in every area, from the center to the suburbs”.
The project is the result of a synergy between various institutions, including the Prefecture and the Ministry of the Interior, which has financed some installations through two separate projects. In addition to these, there are the systems planned by the public lighting concessionaire.
