Villaricca. During a series of operations aimed at preventing and combating illegal possession of weapons, officers from the Naples Police Headquarters' Flying Squad discovered a veritable arsenal in a house in Villaricca.
During the search, two semi-automatic assault rifles, two .22 caliber pistols with erased serial numbers, 55 cartridges of various calibers and a large quantity of narcotics were found.
In particular, the agents seized 12 blocks of hashish, each weighing more than a kilogram, and a bag containing over 400 grams of cocaine, ready to be divided and distributed on the local market.
The operation is part of the initiatives of the Naples Police Headquarters to combat the illegal possession of weapons and the distribution of narcotic substances. The man stopped, a 36-year-old with specific precedents, was arrested on charges of possession of an illegal firearm and possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
Investigations are underway to establish his criminal connections
The weapons have been sent to the scientific section to determine whether they were used in recent criminal acts, while investigations continue to trace his criminal connections and especially the suppliers of the drugs.
