Yesterday afternoon, in Portici, law enforcement intensified public safety checks, resulting in the seizure of a significant quantity of explosive material. A 31-year-old Chinese man was charged with illegal possession and trade of explosive materials, as well as failure to report them.
The agents of the Portici-Ercolano Police Station carried out an inspection at a commercial activity located in Piazza Luigi Sapio. During the inspection, 43 boxes of fireworks and 287 flares, which together reached a total weight of about 50 kilograms. This quantity exceeded the limits established for free sale, resulting in violations of the regulations in force regarding the safety and trade of explosives.
