The acquittal of the man accused of sexual assault on a minor was decreed at the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The 54-year-old defendant had been accused of committing abuse between 2015 and 2016 on an 11-year-old girl, daughter of his partner, according to what emerged at the time from the investigations.
The alleged actions, according to the prosecution, would have occurred between the municipalities of Roccaraso and Caserta. The acquittal came after a long trial lasting five years, during which the accused defended himself through a legal team composed of lawyers Sergio Pisani, Giuseppe Stellato and Umberto Pappadia.
The defense made use of the criminologist's experience Roberta Bruzzone, who provided advice during the proceedings. The alleged abuse had been reported by the victim herself when she had reached the age of 15. However, the court held that “the fact does not exist”, thus decreeing the complete acquittal of the accused.

The acquittal leaves me a bit confused, it is not easy to understand how it is possible that after five years there is not enough evidence. I hope that justice has truly been done in this case.
