A British prison officer has been arrested after she was allegedly caught on video having sex with an inmate. The footage was reportedly shared among prisoners at Five Wells prison in Northamptonshire, according to The Sun newspaper.
A spokesperson for the facility said: “A female prison officer has been suspended and arrested by Northamptonshire Police on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. It is not appropriate to comment further while investigations are ongoing.”
Five Wells Prison is run by the private company G4S.
The case is reminiscent of a similar incident earlier this year, when Linda De Sousa Abreu, a 30-year-old prison officer, pleaded guilty to misconduct. She admitted having sex with an inmate in a cell at Wandsworth Prison, south London, after a video taken at the facility led to an investigation.

It's incredible how certain things can happen in prisons, I don't know if it's right or wrong. Security should be the priority but I see that there are trust issues between inmates and officers.
