After days of anguish and apprehension, good news arrives from Ruggi Hospital in Salerno: Antonio La Regina, the 25-year-old from Petina who was seriously injured by a tree collapse at the University of Salerno on November 30, has finally awakened from a coma.
The young man, hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit, had suffered serious fractures to his pelvis that would have required surgery, which was postponed due to his initially very critical condition.
In a message sent to the WhatsApp group of colleagues from the TFA Sostegno course, Antonio wanted to reassure all those who supported him during these days of struggle: "Guys, I woke up from a coma, I'm in intensive care, I need to recover and I'll come back to you.

I am very happy that Antonio is finally awakened from his coma and can communicate with his friends and family. I hope that his recovery goes well and that Carmine can wake up soon too. The situation is truly tragic.
