Arzano. The preliminary hearing was held yesterday morning after the arrest warrant that had ordered his house arrest.
The judge, with the new order, has ordered the suspect, who is seriously suspected of stalking and repeating the crime and awaiting trial, to be prohibited from approaching specific places habitually frequented by the victim, or from maintaining a certain distance from such places and the victim. He also ordered the application of specific monitoring measures, such as using a smartphone provided to the victim, which is directly connected to law enforcement, who will monitor his movements.
Aruta had already been sentenced on 21 December 2022 by the Court of Cassation to two years and two months of imprisonment and to pay the legal costs for aggravated mistreatment within the family and injuries to his ex-wife committed in front of their son, who was a minor at the time of the events.

Following the woman's complaints, the Carabinieri began thorough investigations that then led to the request for a precautionary measure of house arrest by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples North.
