Arzano. The awareness day entitled “Let's put out the fires, let's turn on safety” took place yesterday morning at the “Karol Wojtyła” Comprehensive Institute. The event was organized in collaboration with the Fire Department, the Local Police with Colonel Biagio Chiariello, with the aim of informing young people about the dangers associated with the use of illegal firecrackers.
The day continued with the interventions of the Trainers of the National Association of the Fire Brigade, who involved the students with slides and explanatory videos. The material showed, in a clear and effective way, the damage that the improper use of these explosives can cause, also offering practical examples of illegal firecrackers to highlight their extreme danger.
The initiative is part of a broader educational program, aimed at promoting responsible and conscious behavior, especially in view of the Christmas holidays, a period in which the use of illegal firecrackers records a worrying increase.

Yes, I also noticed that there was little participation from the students. If they do not feel involved, they risk not paying attention to the important messages about the use of fires.
I agree with you, Graziella. It is important that kids really understand the danger of certain things. Maybe a workshop would have been useful to make them think better about the issue.
The initiative was very interesting, but I'm not sure that young people have fully understood the risks of firecrackers. Maybe we need more information and practical activities to involve them more, especially in view of the holidays.
