The Descent of the Befana from the Civic Bell Tower – Third Edition The Municipal Administration of Villamaina, in collaboration with the APS Domenico Caracciolo and the SAI reception and integration system, is organizing the third edition of the eagerly awaited event “The Descent of the Befana from the Civic Bell Tower”.

The event will be held on Friday, January 6, 2025, starting at 17:00 p.m., in Piazza Risorgimento, and will represent a moment of joy for the little ones. The famous Befana will make her descent from the Civic Bell Tower, bringing with her gifts and sweets to distribute to all the good children.

The event also includes the award ceremony of the literary competition “La Befana delle Valli D'Ansanto”, which will celebrate the best written productions inspired by the figure of the Befana. Entertainment and gastronomy Street artists will liven up the square with shows that will make the atmosphere even more festive. For the occasion, food stands will be set up to delight participants with local delicacies and culinary specialties, offering a complete experience for the whole family.

The event of the descent of the Befana seems to me a nice idea for children, but I don't understand why it is organized so far away in time. Let's hope that there are enough sweets and gifts for everyone, otherwise it would be disappointing.
