The arrest of a thirty-year-old in Benevento has brought to light a serious case of abuse and extortion within the family. The man is accused of pressuring and threatening his live-in mother to obtain money.
The State Police intervened following a cry for help from the woman, who took refuge at her elderly mother's home after being repeatedly intimidated by her son.
The Flying Squad officers immediately rushed to the scene and collected the first statements from the victim, who was in a state of great anguish. During the intervention, the woman received another threatening phone call from her son, a conversation that was listened to in full by the officers present.
After verifying the content of the phone call, the police officers proceeded to arrest the suspect, subsequently taking him to the Police Headquarters. The police force continues its investigations to shed full light on the matter and ensure the protection of the victim.
