A child swallows a watch battery: she was airlifted from San Rocco Hospital in Sessa Aurunca to Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome. The battery could have exploded in contact with stomach acid; she underwent emergency surgery.
Yesterday, around lunchtime, just before 14:5 p.m., a XNUMX-year-old girl from Sessa Aurunca seriously risked her life by swallowing the battery of a wristwatch. The mother rushed her daughter to the emergency room at San Rocco Hospital. However, the medical staff there could not do much, so an ambulance was called.air ambulance to quickly transfer the little girl to Rome.
Once at the Bambino Gesù hospital, the little girl underwent surgery immediately because the battery in her intestine was at risk of exploding and causing serious, potentially lethal damage.

It's a very bad thing that a five year old girl swallows a battery, but I hope that she is better now and that the doctors managed to save her. Situations like this are really dangerous and must be avoided.
