An unmissable event for all Napoli fans and football lovers: Thursday 12 December, at 17:30 pm, the lounge bar cosmo 16, in Piazza Umberto I in Capua, will host the presentation of the book “I'll tell you about Napoli's champions. The champions who made the history of the blue club”The author, Giuseppe Bruscolotti, historic captain of Napoli, will tell the public the emotions, memories and anecdotes of a legendary career.
The sports journalist Raffaele Auriemma, a well-known face in Italian commentary and an appreciated author, will be in conversation with Bruscolotti. The meeting will be moderated by Erennio De Vita. The event is organized by the Uthòpia Bookshop and by cosmo 16, in collaboration with the Napoli Club “Gaetano Manna”.
Giuseppe Bruscolotti, with the passion and sincerity that distinguish him, speaks of his book as a work that goes beyond statistics: “In these pages I tell anecdotes, memories, exploits, people… I tell what it means to be a Napoli player, the responsibility that this role entails and that increases when you are born and raised in this land. The people of Naples repay you for all your work, not only on the pitch but also years later. Even today I feel the love and respect of the fans for a man who dedicated his entire life to the cause of the Azzurri”.
Bruscolotti is not just a symbol for the fans: he is a pivotal figure in the history of Napoli. An imposing and tenacious full-back, he wore the blue jersey for 16 seasons, from 1972 to 1988, making 511 appearances, a record that remained unbeaten for decades. Captain for five seasons, he was among the protagonists of the club's first historic championship in the 1986/1987 season and won two Italian Cups.
