Buccino. The Salerno Fire Department, with the canine unit and the Saf (Speleo Alpino Fluviale) team, have successfully completed a rescue operation in Buccino, in the province of Salerno. Two Maremma hound dogs named Argo and Yuma were rescued after hours of searching.
The operation began yesterday, when the dogs were spotted in difficulty. The search operations also involved a helicopter from the unit of Pontecagnano. During the day today, the rescue teams were able to locate the two hounds. Using rope descent techniques, the Fire Department was able to recover Argo and Yuma, then returning them to their owner.
