As part of the new measures to regulate access by tourist buses to the Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL) of the “Centro Storico”, “Posillipo” and “Toledo-Decumani-Carmine”, the Naples Local Police, together with ANM personnel, have intensified controls in the Porto, Mercato and Pendino areas, between via Cristoforo Colombo, via Nuova Marina and via Amerigo Vespucci.
During the operation, 62 buses were checked, resulting in 36 reports being issued for various violations. The violations contested included unauthorized access to ZTL, failure to respect drivers' daily or weekly rest periods, failure to register via tachograph and illegal parking within limited traffic zones.
In addition, three driving licenses were withdrawn for serious irregularities, and approximately 1.100 euros in fines were collected directly on the spot. In addition to these, there are the fines issued by ANM staff, who wrote 25 reports for failure to pay the permit to access the ZTLs.
