Yesterday evening, the Carabinieri of the Montefusco Station executed the "prohibition of residence in the municipality of Montefusco" order issued by the investigating judge of the Benevento Court, at the request of the Benevento Public Prosecutor's Office, against a 55-year-old man accused of domestic abuse and other charges related to gender-based violence against his ex-wife.
The investigations revealed that the couple was actually living separately, but continued to share the same building, occupying separate housing units. A few weeks ago, due to the constant interference in her private life characterized by violence and threats, the woman asked for the intervention of the Carabinieri and decided to report the pressure she was subjected to.
The Preliminary Investigation Judge deemed the precautionary measure necessary due to the presence of well-founded reasons that the criminal conduct could be repeated, thus putting the life and integrity of the injured party at risk.
