A Chinese tourist was attacked in Via Marina, Naples, during an attempted theft of his cell phone. The attacker, a 26-year-old Tunisian without a residence permit, kicked and punched the victim.
Some passersby intervened to defend the tourist, managing to stop the attack and contacting the police. The local police arrived promptly on the scene.
Blocked thanks to the intervention of some citizens
The agents of the Lawyer Operations Unit proceeded to arrest the young Tunisian, now detained in the prison of Poggioreale. The victim suffered injuries that were deemed curable in ten days. The arrested man is awaiting validation and a summary trial.
