Napoli Offer Victor Osimhen to Manchester United: Possible Player Swap
TBR Football has exclusively revealed that Manchester United were offered the opportunity to sign Victor Osimhen in January, with Napoli willing to consider a player swap.
Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he is enjoying a stellar season in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring nine goals in eleven games for the Lions.
However, his time in Turkey could soon be over. Sources close to TBR Football indicate that several Premier League clubs have been informed that the 25-year-old is available for a permanent move in the January transfer window.
Napoli names players they want for Victor Osimhen
Manchester United have been approached to discuss the possibility of signing Osimhen. The club's football department, currently led by Joe Wilcox, is considering its options, as reported by TBR Football's chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
The start of the Ruben Amorim era at Old Trafford has highlighted the need for a new number nine, with Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to make their mark.
The possibility of signing Osimhen has been offered through intermediaries, but the Red Devils are unable to complete a direct deal worth £60m.
Another hurdle for United is the wage bill: Rashford, Zirkzee and Hojlund earn more than £500.000 a week between them, making it difficult to add another £200.000 or more in salary.

However, there is a possible solution: Napoli would be willing to consider a player swap for the 25-year-old. The Neapolitan club has shown interest in three United strikers.
Both Hojlund and Zirkzee are on Antonio Conte's squad's wish list, having already impressed in Serie A. Hojlund excelled at Atalanta, while Zirkzee scored 12 goals in the Italian top flight last season. Rashford, who could leave Manchester, is also a player admired by the Azzurri.
Zirkzee, who only joined United in the summer, is also linked with Juventus, where he would reunite with his former coach Thiago Motta. However, as with Napoli, a starting spot would not be guaranteed.
Other Clubs Interested in Osimhen
TBR Football has confirmed that Arsenal and Aston Villa have also been approached, with Villa reportedly offered to include John Duran in a deal for the centre-forward.
Chelsea, long admirers of Osimhen, had already begun talks over the summer. However, thanks to the improved performances of Nicolas Jackson, the Blues no longer consider signing a striker an immediate priority.

It's an interesting article, but there's a lot of information that isn't clear. Osimhen is playing well at Galatasaray, but it's not clear if Napoli really wants to trade him or not. Other clubs also seem interested.
