The disturbance that is affecting Campania, bringing rain and thunderstorms to much of the territory, is slowly leaving the region. However, precipitation will continue, for another 24 hours, to affect some sectors. For this reason, the Civil Protection of the Campania Region, in light of the assessments of the Functional Center, has further extended the current Yellow level weather alert: the hydrogeological criticality will remain at least until 18 pm tomorrow, Wednesday 11 December.
The phenomena, in any case, are easing in some areas. Already today there is a lightening in Alta Irpinia and Sannio, on Alto Volturno and Matese and in the Tanagro area. from 18 also the zone 5, Tusciano and Alto Sele, will be affected by an improvement in weather conditions.
On the rest of the Campania the disturbance will still bring showers and thunderstorms associated with phenomena related to localized hydrogeological risk: flooding, overflows, runoff, rockfall and landslides will be possible given the fragility of the territories. Due to the saturation of the soil, landslides and rockfall will be possible even in the absence of new precipitation. Mayors throughout Campania are reminded to keep the Municipal Operations Centers (Coc) active, to implement all the measures provided for by their respective civil protection plans.
