Tomorrow will be held the first Open Day of the Civil Protection aimed at schools, as part of the Plan of communication to the population on the bradyseismic phenomenon and volcanic risk in the Campi Flegrei. Starting at 9:30, students of the schools that have joined the initiative, thanks to the agreement between the Civil Protection of the Campania Region and the Regional School Office, will be able to visit the operational citadel of San Marco Evangelista, in the province of Caserta.
Here they will witness demonstrations conducted by the components of the regional Civil Protection system, with the use of helicopters, rescue vehicles and dog units.
The opening of the regional structure, the headquarters designated to host the Command and Control Directorate of the Department of Civil protection in the event of national emergencies, is part of the initiatives aimed at promoting the culture of prevention. Students will have the opportunity to learn directly about the planning in progress, good practices and behaviors to adopt in the event of an emergency, as well as understanding how the regional operating system works.
Accompanied by Civil Protection personnel, the kids will follow an experiential path that will guide them through the phases and components of a system that unites citizens and institutions. The next Open Day dedicated to schools is already scheduled for December 13.
