Casavatore, alliances are being prepared for the elections

Three times on the highest seat of the Government Palace and three times sent home early by his allies. The reasons for the no-confidence vote were announced by the Democratic Party through a political document. The M5S, with former councilor Alessandro Sorrentino signing the no-confidence vote, also opens up to a series of reflections and alliances.

“This is the time for reflection and open dialogue with all political forces that are willing to carry forward, with particular attention, ideas and projects useful for the renewal of our country, and have at heart the urgent need to guarantee political stability in Casavatore.

We are ready to engage with the centre-left political forces, but also with any civic lists, provided that they share a progressive vision and commit to implementing concrete and sustainable programmes, focusing not only on names to propose for the office of Mayor, but also on tangible political proposals”.

“The Democratic Party – Sorrentino specifies – remains one of the main interlocutors, since together we have shared an administrative path that has led to the realization of important projects.

The motion of no confidence was also shared, although each with their own vision and ideas. With the awareness and common vision that the end of an administration had to be faced with political maturity, promoting a constructive political debate, and not with the usual no confidence "from the notary", which in addition to preventing any comparison, hindered the possibility of a fruitful dialogue with the other party.

For this reason, the M5S preferred and pushed for a more dialoguing and democratic path, based on principles of democracy, loyalty and mutual respect, which have always inspired my administrative career.

We have chosen to address the issue with political maturity, giving space to all points of view, allowing everyone to present their reasons, and also offering the Mayor the opportunity to express his considerations in an open and respectful context. Now a new phase opens, which will certainly see the involvement of different sides.

We are ready to listen to anyone who wants to present serious and concrete programs for our territory. Likewise, as all the other forces in the field, the M5S is also working on the proposal of a figure who can lead Casavatore and we already have an idea of ​​who could fill this role.

But what matters is to create a serious and concrete administrative project, capable of responding to the needs of the community, with the aim of guaranteeing our municipality a future of growth, stability and well-being for all citizens".

Even the opposition, which promoted the presentation of the motion of no confidence also signed by the PD and M5S, the main supporters of the majority, had fiery words against Maglione.

“The very idea of ​​continuing with a city council that, given the current scenario, would have had to reduce its prerogatives and functions to the simple ratification of decisions taken by the mayor and a few staunch loyalists was inconceivable,” reiterated in the council Vito Marino, minority leader and also well regarded by the PD and M5S.

In the meantime, the most disparate political hypotheses are coming forward in view of the elections. First of all, the PD (which comes out with broken bones) and the M5S should continue with their alliance but without the knife-brothers, the councilors Claudio Caturano and Vincenzo Acunzo, who have always been the dolphins of the former mayor.

The hypothesis of the entry into the field of Lorenza Goldsmith (former mayor) and the dean Marco Capparone who should aggregate around them the old nomenclature of former loyal councilors. Another hypothesis would be that of a third pole (center-right) that would include FdI, Lega and Forza Italia. Meanwhile, from what is being said in the city, Vito Marino would be contested by several parties for his possible candidacy for mayor.
