The transport of waste to the power plant Garigliano concluded with the return of 155 artifacts from the Cyclife Sweden AB plant in Sweden. The artifacts, containing approximately 30 tons of waste, originate from the processing of metal materials related to the dismantling work already underway.
The objects were transported in certified containers, compliant with ISO standards, and arrived at their destination by road. This operation was carried out under the supervision of the National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection, together with the various competent authorities.
Between September 2020 and November 2021, Sogin together with Nucleco had orchestrated seven shipments to Sweden, each of about 60 tons. The metals were processed in a smelting campaign in June 2022, reducing the original volume by more than 90%.
The 155 artefacts are currently safely stored in temporary storage at the Sessa Aurunca site, awaiting transfer to the National Repository when it becomes available.

The article is interesting but I don't understand why the artifacts returned to Italy, if they were sent to Sweden. It is important to know what will happen to these remaining ones and if they are dangerous or not. We should have more information.
