Carabinieri from the Marcianise Company conducted extensive checks, resulting in four arrests and two reports in just a few hours. Deploying 4 patrol cars and 2 officers, the Carabinieri also combed the adjacent industrial zones and the municipalities of Orta di Atella, Succivo, Sant'Arpino, and Gricignano di Aversa.
During the coordinated operation, the military carried out numerous personal, vehicle, and home searches, with the support of the military from the Operational Intervention Company of the 10th Carabinieri Regiment "Campania" and the Operational Section of the Marcianise Company.
It is precisely the latter who proceeded with the arrest, Orta di Atella, of a 31-year-old from Frattaminore, caught on board his car in possession of 35 doses of cocaine and some doses of marijuana. The 31-year-old, after the formal procedures, was placed under house arrest. He will have to answer for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

In San Nicola la Strada, Carabinieri officers from the Operational Intervention Company, along with those from the Marcianise Station, stopped and arrested a 21-year-old Tunisian man, already known to law enforcement, for resisting a public official, receiving stolen goods, and criminal damage. Upon being ordered to stop, he fled in a stolen Citroen Saxo, crashing into two parked cars and a street lamp.
In Gricignano di Aversa, the military of the local station arrested a 42-year-old from Reggio who, following a check, was found to be the recipient of a prison order issued by the court of Salerno last December 4, as he was considered responsible for mistreatment in the family, aggravated injuries and violation of the obligations of family assistance.
Finally, in Marcianise, the Carabinieri of the local station arrested a 60-year-old who was the recipient of a prison order issued by the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere on 9 December last, as he was deemed responsible for resisting a public official and aggravated assault.

Carabinieri checks are important for safety, but sometimes I wonder if it is enough. Every time I read about arrests and reports I wonder what people can do to improve the situation.
