The eviction of Parco Saraceno, an illegal complex built in the 70s by the Coppola family of builders and where about fifteen families currently live, almost all of them squatters without title, is currently underway in Castel Volturno, with some of them, however, owning the apartment.
The eviction was ordered by the mayor Pasquale Marrandino after the inspection carried out in recent days by the Fire Brigade and Carabinieri by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, which confirmed the terrible hygienic-sanitary and structural conditions of the complex, which has not been maintained for years, and which therefore represents a danger to the safety of those who live there.
The clearing operations, coordinated by the Caserta Police Headquarters, are being attended by the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza, the Fire Brigade and the local police of Castel Volturno.
