The musical festival “Tutta un'altra musica”, organized by the Fondazione Il Canto di Virgilio, began on October 19 and will end on December 6 with a series of performances that cover centuries of musical tradition. The performances included a wide variety of genres, from villanelles to romantic sonatas, to waltzes, musicals and Scandinavian dances.
The Final Concert
The ensemble will close the review The ChamberCelli, who will perform at the Domus Ars in via Santa Chiara, Naples. The concert, directed by maestro Aurelio Bertucci, will use the cello as the protagonist of a musical journey through film soundtracks.
Among the Notes of Cinema
The evening's program includes performances of famous pieces by composers such as John Williams, with music from "Schindler's List" and "Jaws"; Ennio Morricone, with themes from "Cinema Paradiso" and "Once Upon a Time in the West"; Nino Rota, from "Amarcord," "The Leopard," and "The Godfather"; and Hans Zimmer, with pieces from "Gladiator" and "Interstellar." The evening will also include Bill Conti with "Rocky" and JM Lacalle with "Amapola." Admission is set at 10 euros and further details can be requested by calling 081 342 5603. The music festival looks very interesting and varied. I have heard of some composers like Ennio Morricone and John Williams, but I don't know if I can attend the final concert. I hope there will be more opportunities in the future.
