The first Donadio and Paruolo store opened in 1966 in via Gelsi Rossi in Salerno.
Gaetano Donadio is a photographer who develops in black and white, he has not yet become the specialized retailer of brands concerning the world of photography that he will later become. In 1972 his first son Emilio was born, who since his youth breathed the air of the home business and gradually became passionate about everything while studying economics at university. In the meantime in 1978 Gaetano's business moved to via Guercio (in what would become the historic headquarters of the business).
Emilio decrees a significant change regarding the company's modus operandi: although starting from intuitions concerning the past, it approaches with an innovative spirit the analog market that has returned forcefully into vogue thanks to Gen Z.
Young people want a scan of their photographic negative to show off on social media and Emilio knows how to please them.

In 2025 dp66 will start developing and scanning super 8mm and 16mm (the step preceding film production).
In June 2025 they will start an affiliation process that will allow them to consolidate themselves further at a territorial level.
In the future we will probably see the birth of a podcast inside the current headquarters in via Francesco Crispi.

The article is interesting and gives an overview of the evolution of the company, but there are some points that are not clear, such as the Ecn-2 process and what it means for production. I would like to know more.
