According to the prosecution, the two dog owners acted with negligence and recklessness, entrusting their animals to people unqualified to handle them and failing to take necessary safety measures. In particular, the pit bulls were known for their aggression, having previously killed another dog.
The dynamics of the attack
The autopsy revealed very serious injuries to the child's body, consistent with a vicious and prolonged attack. The violence of the attack was so severe that it caused the child's almost immediate death.
The investigations
The investigation revealed that the two pit bulls were roaming freely in the home's garden, unsupervised. This allowed the attack, which occurred in a matter of moments, to occur.
