A respectful silence, bowed heads, and clasped hands in prayer, followed by a round of applause called by a relative, resounded in the small square in Forcella, where Arcangelo Correra, 8, was killed by a gunshot to the head on November 18th. A month after the tragedy, family and friends gathered in the same place, at the same time, for a candlelight vigil in memory of the young man.
"A flame to keep your memory alive"" ," said Arcangelo's mother, Antonella Silvestri, her voice breaking with grief. She described the immense void left by her son's passing, recalling their last day together.

Meanwhile, the investigations continue. Renato Caiaphas, 19, was charged with manslaughter and illegal possession of the weapon used in the crime. But for Antonella Silvestri, there's no doubt: "There's only one person responsible, the one who broke my son's heart and ours."
The torchlight procession, which saw participants walk along Via Tribunali with candles and cell phone lights, was a moment of mourning and a call for justice. "We will never forget Archangel", those present shouted in unison.
