Gabriele Gravina will be the only candidate for the presidency of the Figs for the next four years. The deadline for submitting applications expired last 25th December, confirming the outgoing president as the only figure running for the position. The elective assembly is set for 3 February and will take place at the Rome Cavalieri di Roma.
During the assembly, in addition to the election of the federal president, the new ones will also be chosen Federal Councillors and Chairman of the Board of Auditors. Gravina presented a detailed program of activities planned for the four-year period 2025-2028, accompanied by the support of the majority of delegates of Serie B, Lega Pro, National Amateur League, athletes e runners, as required by the Federal Statute. His candidacy, as officially communicated by the FIGC, meets all the required requirements.
For the positions of Federal Councillor representing the Serie A, several prominent names in Italian football have been admitted. Among them are prominent managers such as Adrian Galliani, Joseph Marotta e Paolo scaroni. Also for the Serie B authoritative candidates have been presented, including Giovanni Carnivali e John Gardiniwhile for the Lega Pro he ran for office Daniele Sebastiani.
In National Amateur League names such as stand out Ilaria Bazzerla, Daniele Ortolano e Sergio Pedrazzini, representatives of the different territorial areas. For the category Atletes, instead, well-known personalities are applying such as Sarah Gama e Umberto Calcagno, while for i Specialized appear Giancarlo Camolese e Silvia City. For the presidency of the Board of Auditors, the candidacy was entrusted to Luke Galea, designated by the National Amateur League. Also in this case, the FIGC verified and confirmed compliance with all the required requirements.
With Gravina sole candidate for the presidency, the assembly of the 3 February promises to be a key step to consolidate the federal leadership and renew the management positions. The new appointments will have to face crucial challenges for the future of Italian football, including the reform of the championships, cost containment and relaunching the youth movement.

Honestly I don't know if this situation is good for Italian football, Gravina is a well-known figure but I don't know if he has the ability to face all the challenges that are in this period. The choices of advisors will be fundamental.
