CAREER
The first woman to lead the Oplonti judicial office, Giovanna Ceppaluni was chosen by the CSM in September as the ideal candidate for the presidency, thanks to a curriculum considered superior to that of the other magistrates in the running, including Antonio Pepe, currently serving at the Review Court.
From 1987 to 1992, Ceppaluni worked as a deputy prosecutor at the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, dealing with crimes against the Public Administration. Subsequently, from 1992 to 2006, she served as GIP/GUP at the Neapolitan Court. From 2006 to 2010, she was a judge in the section specializing in preventive measures.
He then presided over the sixth criminal section of the Court of Naples from 2010 to 2016, dealing with financial crimes, professional negligence and accidents at work.
In 2016, she returned to dealing with preventive measures as president of the relevant section, before taking on, in 2017, the leadership of the GIP/GUP section of the Court of Naples, a position she still holds today.
