Ischia. The police are intensifying their control operations in the fight against drug trafficking on the island of Ischia. Two 17-year-old boys were arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of drug possession. The teenagers were in a public parking lot when they were searched.
The military discovered 12 doses of cocaine hidden in e-cigarette refills and 550 euros in cash, considered illicit proceeds. The analysis of the two boys' cell phones led to the identification of a third accomplice, a 27-year-old of Ukrainian origin.
Following the search of his home, the Carabinieri confiscated three loaves of hashish and material for cutting and packaging drugs. The two minors were placed under house arrest, pending further judicial decisions.
