Last Wednesday, during construction work in Montecorvino Rovella, workers stumbled upon a macabre find: a human skull and bone fragments. The alarm immediately alerted the police.
Excluding the archaeological nature of the find, it is assumed that the remains belong to a person who disappeared in more recent times. Among the most accredited theories, that of a soldier missing during the Second World War.
The remains were seized and transported to Battipaglia for forensic examinations. DNA analysis will be essential to identify the victim and clarify the cause of death.
