A new phase of bad weather is about to hit Italy, with strong winds and snow as the main protagonists. Meteorologists predict a drastic climate change in the coming days, which will affect all regions. If Wednesday will still be characterized by widespread fog in the North and low clouds over Liguria and along the Tyrrhenian coasts, with some drizzle in Tuscany, from Thursday the picture will change radically.
The first rains will begin to wet the North in the morning, then intensify and spread in the afternoon.

Friday will be the most critical day, with even stronger winds that will lead to significant storm surges in Sardinia, along the Tyrrhenian coasts and on the Adriatic coasts. In the North the bad weather will ease, leaving only some residual precipitation in the eastern areas, while it will intensify in the Adriatic regions and the lower Tyrrhenian Sea. The drop in temperatures will favor widespread snowfall on the Apennines. Due to the strong wind, the snow will fall in the form of a blizzard or storm on Brands, Abruzzo and Molise.
Over the weekend, the bad weather will grant a brief respite, with Saturday - the day of the winter solstice - which will see the last precipitation in the South, accompanied by snowfall in the hills. However, cold winds from the northern quadrants will continue to blow across much of the Center-South, while Sunday a new worsening is expected with the arrival of another disturbance from the North Pole.

I feel the weather is changing a lot. The forecasts are getting harder to understand. Snow and strong winds can cause problems, especially in Sardinia and the North. I hope everyone is ready.
