Sunday promises to be a complicated day for maritime connections in the Gulf of Naples, due to bad weather that has been causing numerous cancellations of trips to the Neapolitan islands since the early hours of the morning.
The strong west wind has made the sea very rough, leading to the suspension of hydrofoil connections to and from the ports of Forio and Casamicciola. However, some connections to and from Ischia Porto remain partially operational. Several ferry trips from Ischia to Pozzuoli have also been cancelled.
Similar situation for Procida, where only a few trips will be guaranteed, both by hydrofoils and ships, for the day of the Immaculate Conception. Many connections from Naples and Pozzuoli have already been cancelled. In Capri, however, the entire high-speed service has been suspended, and connections to the island will be ensured exclusively by ships.

Let's hope the weather improves soon, because the islands are beautiful to visit and many tourists take advantage of it every year. Without connections it will be difficult for everyone.
I agree with you, it's a shame that bad weather ruins many people's plans. But safety must be a priority, so it's fair to cancel trips if the sea is rough.
The situation on Sunday is very complicated for those who wanted to go to the islands. All connections are cancelled and the bad weather is worrying. We hope that in the next few days we can start again.
