Naples. Camorra informer Salvatore Roselli has revealed how the "mesate" payments, which all members of the Amato-Pagano family receive, a monthly sum of €8.000, were made. His account is contained in the more than 360-page precautionary order signed yesterday by investigating judge Isabella Iaselli of the Naples court, which resulted in the arrest of 50 members of the clan.
His story stems from the fact that, on several occasions, he personally witnessed Murolo Fortunato prepare the payments, following instructions written on a piece of paper. Roselli specifies that the recipients of these payments are Amato Raffaele, Pagano Cesare, Amato Elio, Pagano Rosaria, Amato Raffaele Jr., Amato Carmine, Pagano Carmine, Amato Domenico Antonio, as well as De Cicco Gennaro and D'Agnese Daniele. However, the latter two receive a lower sum, equal to €2.500 per month, since the €8.000 is paid directly to their wives, Amato Monica and Amato Debora.
The "mesate" destined for Scampia were delivered to Salvatore Roselli to then be distributed to both free and imprisoned members.

Roselli adds that the funds intended for the women of the clan are entrusted to a trusted man in charge of distribution. In particular, he mentions Cerrato Giovanna, wife of Pagano Cesare; Pagano Ermelinda, wife of Amato Raffaele; the wife of Amato Elio (never met); Tina, wife of Amato Carmine; and Fabiana, wife of Pagano Carmine.
The distribution to the wives is done by a person with no criminal record
Regarding the distribution, he explained that the distribution to the wives is carried out by a person with no criminal record whose name he does not remember. This same person also brought the monthly meal to his family during his detention. And he says he met her a couple of times when he was free, and she introduced herself telling him that she was in charge of distributing the monthly meal.

The article is very interesting and provides useful details about the payment system within the Amato-Pagano clan. It is incredible to think that there are so many members involved in this system. Of course there are many things to consider in these situations.
It's a very interesting topic, but I wonder why there is so much money in circulation. The Camorra seems to have a well-organized system and this makes you think about how many people are involved in all this. It's not easy to understand.
