Mina Settembre is ready to return to the small screen. The third season of the successful series, set in the vibrant Naples and with Serena Rossi in the role of the protagonist, will debut on Rai 1 on Sunday 12 January 2025.
Inspired by the stories of Maurizio De Giovanni, the series continues to offer a profound reflection on the challenges of contemporary society. In the new season, Mina will find herself facing new challenges both on a personal and professional level.
After the great success of the first two seasons, which captured almost 5 million viewers on average, Rai 1 has chosen to continue the story of the adventures of Gelsomina Settembre, known as Mina, and her troubled love story with Domenico, played by Giuseppe Zeno. Filming recently concluded and the first previews of the six new episodes suggest a mix of emotions and twists.
Among the most anticipated moments by fans, the evolution of the relationship between Mina and Domenico stands out: after the difficulties of the past seasons, the two seem ready to live their love with greater maturity. Living together will mark a crucial step in their story.
But the third season will not be without obstacles. Mina will have to deal with the loss of her mother, Olga, an event that will put her emotional balance to the test, dealing with delicate issues such as mourning and the ability to move on. In this difficult journey, Aunt Rosa, played by Marisa Laurito, will play a fundamental role, offering support and comfort to the protagonist.
On the professional level, Mina will continue to deal with complex cases that reflect the social problems of Naples, exploring themes such as inequality, injustice and economic difficulties.
The new season will be enriched by a renewed team of writers, who will bring new perspectives and freshness to the narrative. New characters will be added to the cast, expanding the mosaic of stories and relationships, all immersed in the fascinating Neapolitan setting.

I watched the first and second seasons of Mina Settembre and I really liked them. I hope the third one will be as good, but I'm afraid it won't be the same. The love story between Mina and Domenico is beautiful, but a little complicated.
