During the Christmas period, the Naples Police Headquarters intensified extraordinary territorial control services, with particular attention to the traditional Christmas Eve aperitif.
In the main nightlife areas, such as Chiaia, the historic center, the Spanish Quarters, Vomero and Posillipo, agents of the State Police, military personnel from the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza, the Municipal Police and the Metropolitan Police were deployed.
The operation led to the identification of 510 people, 72 of whom had previous police records, and the inspection of 69 vehicles, with 14 violations of the Highway Code contested.

There was no shortage of complaints: five people were reported to the authorities, four of them for driving without a license, a violation repeated in the last two years, and one for failure to comply with the authorities' provisions, being subjected to Dacur (Prohibition of access to urban areas).
An operation that confirms the commitment of the police to guarantee safety and respect for the rules during the holidays.

The article is interesting but I don't understand why there are so many people checked. It seems to me that in Naples there is always a great influx of people during Christmas, so it is normal that more security is needed.
