The latest seizure took place on Monday, by the State Police, with the complaint against a 33-year-old: 365 unlabeled and hand-made fireworks with a gross weight of approximately 18 kg, 34 batteries of fireworks with a net explosive content of approximately 21 kg and another 387 packages containing approximately 15 thousand pieces of fireworks with a net explosive content of approximately 7 kg.
There are less than two weeks left until New Year, but there have already been several interventions by the police to seize illegal fireworks. The territory of NAPLES and its province is patrolled well in advance, to stem the manufacture and supply of prohibited fireworks. The inspections are carried out on warehouses, homes, small garages, usually the places where the fireworks are stored and where the seizures take place.
Previously, on December 15, 40 batteries of fireworks were found in the trunk of a vehicle and on the back seat of the car in which a man and a woman were traveling, with a net explosive content of approximately 20 kg. And 24 hours earlier, seven kilos of firecrackers were seized in an apartment.
Also on the black market is the so-called 'Sinner bomb': 24 kg of material were seized in the home of a 50-year-old in Pozzuoli at the end of November, including the orange bomb imitating the hair color of the world number one tennis player.

It is worrying to see more and more seizures of illegal fireworks, especially with the New Year's Eve coming up. I hope that the police continue to make checks to maintain safety in our city.
