The Carabinieri of the radiomobile section of the Castellammare di Stabia company, returning from the Poggioreale prison after having transferred an arrested person, have transformed themselves into guardian angels for a six-year-old boy in danger.
Their attention was drawn to a woman in despair. While driving her car, the mother stopped to ask for help: her little boy in the back seat had swallowed a dime and was struggling to breathe.
In an instant, the soldiers turned on their sirens and cleared the way through traffic, escorting the woman to the hospital. Santobono. A race against time that allowed doctors to intervene promptly and save the child.
The little boy is now out of danger, but remains hospitalized for further checks. A gesture of promptness and humanity by the Carabinieri, who have demonstrated once again how much they can make a difference in times of emergency.
