In implementation of the provisions established by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, chaired by the Prefect of Napoli Michele di Bari, the staff of the Prevention Department of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, under the direction of the director Cirio Verdoliva, conducted a series of targeted administrative checks at commercial establishments in the city.
The operations took place in the Vomero and Chiaia, with the support of the Carabinieri.A total of 15 operators, including doctors and prevention technicians, inspected 9 commercial establishments, including bars, delicatessens, restaurants and pizzerias. During the checks, 28 prescriptions were issued, 2 food seizures were made and 9 administrative sanctions were imposed for a total amount of 13.000 euros. In addition, the suspension of food preparation at a delicatessen and the total closure of 2 bars was ordered.
At the same time, in the historic centre area, staff of the ASL Naples 1, flanked by State Police, carried out checks in 4 commercial establishments, including butchers, pizzerias and pastry shops. In this area, 8 operators including doctors, veterinarians, biologists and prevention technicians found 21 irregularities, issued a fine of 1.500 euros and seized non-compliant food.
The Prefect of Naples expressed his appreciation for the commitment shown, underlining that the control activity will continue in the coming weeks with the aim of guaranteeing compliance with the law in the commercial sector.
