Luca Abete published a post on Instagram explaining how, despite technology and innovation, there are still some aspects of our country that leave much to be desired.

It was Sunday 15 December 2024. I parked my Peugeot 2008 in a busy area with cars and people at 15:30 pm near Palapartenope, Villa and The Space in Fuorigrotta (NA). I came back around 20:30 pm and I couldn't find the car. I filed a report and counter-report and the next day the Carabinieri called me saying they found the car. This is the condition I found it in this morning at the depot where it had been taken (I also had to pay €300 for scrapping).
After years of sacrifices because of these people, everything vanished in an instant. I hope that this news that I share with you, can prevent what happened to me from happening to other people. Be careful because in broad daylight they were capable of this.
Unfortunately that's it. I don't want to generalize with this post by tarring everyone with the same brush because Naples is beautiful and full of fantastic and honest people, but unfortunately there is rottenness everywhere and we must learn from personal and other people's experiences to be more attentive to what reality offers us. That said, for the state and the law since the car was "found" I cannot recover anything from the insurance unless I had "casco".

Luca Abete's post highlights a difficult situation. It is unacceptable that there are people who take advantage of others in this way. I think it is important to raise awareness of these problems to improve the situation in our cities.
