A Journey Through History and Culture
The festival, held in the evocative setting of the sacristy of the church of San Severo al Pendino, brought to the stage a variety of readings, songs and pieces for musical trio. The evenings were inspired by great literature, both cultured and popular, ranging from the end of the eighteenth century to the nineteenth century. The event was promoted by the Municipality of Naples as part of the project aimed at celebrating the musical and artistic traditions of the city.
Homage to Great Travellers and Artists
The theatrical concert was enriched by the testimonies of many illustrious travellers who narrated the beauties of Naples and Campania. Among them, historical figures such as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Anne Marie du Boccage, Stendhal and Mary Shelley stand out. These narrations were accompanied by works by local authors such as Ferdinando Galiani and Matilde Serao, together with musical pieces by famous composers including Gaetano Donizetti and WA Mozart. The interpretation was entrusted to a team of artists composed of Lina Salvatore, Gabriele Bacco, Michele Monetta, and musicians such as Lorenzo Marino, Simone De Simone and Lorenzo De Lucia. The event was enthusiastically followed by a large audience, composed of Italian and foreign spectators, many of whom were unable to find a seat in the hall due to the large turnout.
Applause and Recognition
The performances were greeted with prolonged applause, reflecting an appreciation for a vision of Naples far from common stereotypes. At the end of the last evening, the artists dedicated their performance to the memory of the great playwright Eduardo De Filippo, receiving further thunderous applause from the audience.

The Grand Tour event in Naples was very nice, but I couldn't see well because there were too many people. The music and lyrics seem to have been well taken care of, but maybe they could have made more seats for the audience.
The Grand Tour event in Naples sounds very interesting to me. I didn't know there were so many artists and musicians involved, and the famous travelers are a nice touch. I hope there are more events like this in the future.
