This year, too, Naples hosted a Santa Claus motorcycle parade through the city streets: despite some critical comments on social media, the event remains a beloved moment for Neapolitans.
The controversy was sparked by a video shared on social media: the user who posted it commented: "Guys, it's absurd, we're in Naples and everyone's wearing helmets," in a context that appears ironic but has triggered negative comments.
In fact, the video showed a group of people dressed as Santa Claus parading on motorbikes and scooters in the centre of Naples, immediately provoking reactions based on stereotypes.

Responding to the video, some users expressed skepticism, writing phrases like "Are you sure? You're not in America?" and "Only explanation: you're in Florida," alluding to clichés related to the city of Naples, USA. Others questioned the video's authenticity, with comments like "It must be Photoshop" and "AI video."
However, a minority has tried to counter this negativity, asking whether it is right to continue to perpetuate such clichés. The Santa Claus parade is an event that takes place in Naples during the holidays. This year's parade, held on Sunday, December 22, saw hundreds of participants parading in their decorated vehicles, starting from the Diego Armando Maradona stadium and ending on the city's seafront.

I don't understand why people always make controversy about events like this, and then there are always the usual comments from those who don't understand the meaning of traditions. Naples needs more events like this to unite people.
