Vomero has long been struggling with a chronic problem: traffic. The situation, already critical, has further worsened in recent months due to the closure of Viale Michelangelo and the persistent traffic ban in Piazza degli Artisti.
According to Gennaro New Year, president of the Comitato Valori Colliri, reopening Piazza degli Artisti to traffic could offer a significant solution to the problem. "Restoring the previous traffic flow," Capodanno states, "would significantly ease congestion on Via Mario Fiore and Piazza Fanzago, facilitating access to the upper part of Vomero."
Despite numerous citizen reports and formal requests, the city administration has yet to convene the necessary conference of services to address the issue. "It's unacceptable that, a month after Councilor De Iesu's announcement, there have been no concrete developments," Capodanno emphasizes.
The prolonged closure of Piazza degli Artisti has caused serious disruption to residents, businesses, and emergency services. "Every day, ambulances and other emergency vehicles remain stuck in traffic, putting citizens' health at risk," Capodanno reports.
The president of the Valori Collinari Committee then appealed to Naples' chief prosecutor, Nicola Gratteri, calling for an investigation into the responsibilities for the delays in addressing this emergency. "It's necessary to clarify the reasons why such a serious situation is being neglected," Capodanno concluded.

It is true that traffic in the Vomero has become a serious problem, but I do not understand why nothing is being done. The situation is complicated, and the closures do not help at all. An immediate solution is needed, otherwise everything will remain as it is.
