Pimonte's Christmas is all about solidarity and inclusion. The rich program of events organized by the Municipality, in collaboration with the Pro Loco and other city associations, was presented. Joseph, whose human experience is phenomenal, was also present at the countdown to the lighting of the tree.
"After a long journey," Mayor Francesco Somma stated, "he has arrived in Italy. His destiny was written in the name of our community, which welcomed him along with other brothers and sisters in life and now fully recognizes him as one of its fellow citizens."
On the day of the Immaculate Conception, the “Twelve stars and a bonfire” festival, in honor of the Madonna and conceived in Pimonte by the late Biagio Donnarumma, ended. In Tralia, the long night of the Immaculate Conception was spent with the lighting of the traditional bonfire and with a food and wine event, featuring typical local products such as the cannellino tomato, the chestnut of Monte Faito and the organic honey that filled the freshly fried Christmas zeppole.

There are 25 events on the program presented this weekend, concentrated in the span of 30 days. And there really is something for everyone, from the ancient tradition of the Living Nativity Scene branded @solo per amore to the theater of “I Ruffiani”, to the solidarity events of the parishes, Ohana, Fratres and Misericordia to the shows of the associations Pro Loco and Giovanni Paolo II, from the merchants' party to the Christmas concert of Lunarmonica.
"This program was created in collaboration with all local authorities," the mayor concluded, "and with a special focus on children, starting with the beautiful Santa Claus Village, which has become a regular fixture in Pimonte since the first year of our administration."
