The 21st edition of the "Per Sempre Scugnizzo" Award will take place on December 5, 2024, at 4:00 PM, in the historic Sala Loggia of the Maschio Angioino in Naples. Founded in 2015, the award honors national and international excellence in the fields of institutions, social work, business, art, and entertainment, recognizing the commitment of those who contribute to Italy's economic, social, and civil progress.
Event and Participants
The event is supported by the Municipality of Naples, the Order of Journalists, the Italian Sports Press (USSI) and the newspaper Per Sempre News. During the ceremony, the famous masks of the Neapolitan artist Domenico Sepe will be delivered to various personalities and businesses for their significant contribution to society.
Winners of the edition
Among this year’s honorees, Stefano Lanfranco, president of the Scugnizzi a Vela association, will be recognized for the project “I mestieri del mare,” which has supported the integration of at-risk youth in the Metropolitan City of Naples. The Centro Sportivo Ecumano Space will be recognized for promoting educational values through sports and for its commitment to social inclusion. Journalist Giuliana Covella will receive recognition for her commitment to defending legality in favor of women and children, with a focus on her book that reopens the debate on a tragic news story. Pasticceria Agrillo will be celebrated for a century of tradition in the field of Neapolitan confectionery.
Finally, Superintendent Massimo Parlati, responsible for martial arts at the “Pino Daniele” center in Caivano, will be awarded for his efforts in promoting sports and legality. The “Per Sempre Scugnizzo” Award is confirmed as an important initiative to celebrate values of solidarity, creativity and commitment, surrounded by the historic charm of the Maschio Angioino.

Yes, it is an event that attracts a lot of attention. I like the fact that local realities are also recognized, but I wonder if there will be other similar events in other cities in Italy.
This edition of the awards seems very interesting, especially because there are many winners with important works. It would be nice to know more about how the winners are chosen and if there are any news for next year.
