It was almost midnight in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio when a patrol of the Carabinieri, engaged in an extraordinary control service, noticed a group of very young people in via Plinio il Vecchio. Aged between 15 and 18, apparently ordinary behavior, except for one: a 16-year-old who, with a suspicious behavior, attracted the attention of the military.

The chase was frenetic: the 16-year-old ran through the streets of the center, crossing via Plinio il Vecchio, via Margherita di Savoia and finally a path that leads to via Mario Falconi. A kilometer of running, between gates climbed over and improvised stratagems to escape the carabinieri, such as abandoning his jacket and gun on a low wall.

But the escape ended in a parking lot, where the boy had hidden among some cars. Blocked by the military, he tried to justify himself by declaring that he had thrown drugs out of fear, but on the wall was found an 8 caliber blank gun, without the mandatory red cap.
For the 16-year-old, the evening ended with his arrest. He will have to answer for resisting a public official and carrying a weapon. He has currently been transferred to the Colli Aminei first reception center, while the gun has been seized.
