Carlo Conti's announcement on Tg1: Achille Lauro, Gaia, Coma_Cose, Francesco Gabbani, Willie Peyote, Noemi, Rkomi, Modà, Rose Villain, Brunori Sas, Irama, Clara, Massimo Ranieri, Emis Killa, Sara Toscano.
And then again: Fedez, Simone Cristicchi, Joan Thiele, The Kolors, Bresh, Marcella Bella, Tony Effe, Elodie, Olly, Francesca Michelin, Lucio Corsi, Shablo feat.
Guè, Joshua, Tormento, Serena Brancale, Rocco Hunt and Giorgia: these are the 30 names of the Big competing at Sanremo 2025 (11-15 February), announced by artistic director Carlo Conti live on Tg1 at 13.30pm.
Massimo Ranieri is among the 30 big names chosen by Carlo Conti to represent the old guard at the Sanremo Festival, but Al Bano is not there, having once again been left out, as happened last year with Amadeus, despite having submitted a song again this year.
The decision to change the Sanremo rules, increasing the number of Big artists competing from the 24 planned to 30, was taken by artistic director Carlo Conti, given the quality and quantity of the songs submitted, in agreement with Rai.
During the evening of Sarà Sanremo on December 18th, broadcast live on Rai 1 from the Sanremo Casino, Conti will reveal the titles of the songs by the Big artists competing at the next Festival. Regarding voting, there has also been a change to the rules: foreign radio stations will be included in the Press Room Jury as a "guest" category.

It's true, the increase of Big in the competition is a good idea to give more space to different musical genres. I'm curious to see what songs these artists will present at the Festival.
I agree with you, many names are famous but Al Bano has a very long career and I don't understand why they didn't choose him for this edition. Let's hope he'll be there next year.
Carlo Conti's announcement was very interesting and I think that many artists chosen are really good. But I wonder why Al Bano is not there, he is a great artist and deserves to be present. I hope the evening will be beautiful.
