The event “Puccini, one hundred years in dance” continues its cultural journey with the second appointment scheduled for Friday 6 December 2024, at the evocative Church of Sant'Apollonia in Salerno. The initiative, conceived by Amalia Salzano and coordinated by Pina Testa, pays homage to the centenary of the death of the composer Giacomo Puccini through a series of choreographic performances.
### An evening dedicated to Puccini
After the triumph of the first show on December 4, starring the Compagnia EgriBiancoDanza, the event continues with the Compagnia Movimento Danza di Napoli, which will bring to the stage “Puccini's Stories – Choreographic Keywords”. The direction, entrusted to the choreographer Gabriella Stazio, offers a modern exploration of the female universe interpreted in Puccini's works, involving the audience through an innovative and interactive language.
### Innovation and public involvement
The choreography of the performance is based on keywords that are chosen randomly during the performance, giving each evening a unique character. This technique, inspired by the methods of John Cage and Merce Cunningham, challenges the dancers to improvise and invites the audience to actively participate in the creative process, breaking down traditional barriers between artists and spectators.
### Young talents on stage
The evening begins with the exploration of young talents from the Licei Coreutici, including Giuseppe Agnotti Arpaia, Rosa Padovano and Nancy Scarpa, respectively from the Liceo Coreutico E. Pascal di Pompei and the Liceo Coreutico Salerno Alfano I. These young artists will propose short choreographies inspired by Puccini's legato, interpreting with originality the themes evoked by his works. The series of events will end on December 7 at the Teatro Delle Arti in Salerno. Tickets for the show on December 6 are available at a cost of 5 euros, while those for the following day are available at a cost of 10 euros.

Yes, it is true that the participation of young artists could be an incentive for those who love dance. I hope that the event will be successful and that more people will appreciate Puccini's work.
The Puccini event seems very interesting and engaging, but I don't know if I'll be able to go. Choreography with young talents is a good idea to bring people closer to dance and music.
